Melody Queen Lata Mangeshkar has rendered her voice to several devotional songs, giving listeners many soulful bhakti numbers. Now she has sung for the first time the popular ‘Hanuman Chalisa’, for an album by T-Series.
India these days is experiencing a bad phase with different calamities striking at odd times. Swine-flu, draught and recession. It would be natural to see the older generation wondering where all these will head to. And, in the process they would turn to the Almighty, to seek blessings.
And here, our Nightingale has sung in favour of Lord Hanuman to eradicate the looming problems in India. The great singer had told sources, “We are going through tough times and Hanumanji is known as 'Sankatmochan'. In my 60-year career, I have not sung his praises. It just occurred to me now to sing the Hanuman Chalisa... the time is right for me to seek his blessings.”
Don’t they say it is the prayers and blessing of elderly people that makes the world go round? Now you know how the wheels of India are still running strong. Thanks to people like Lataji who are concerned about the dwellings as a whole.
