SRK-Abhishek-Hrithik in Dhoom 3???
Much sequestered for the sake of caretaking production works in overseas; Aditya Chopra had to leave the task of filmmaking to his close associates. But now, here’s a sensational buzz that will put your sprits frozen with high-spiritedness. Uh-huh! If what we heard from the closer source are believed to be true, then Aditya Chopra will soon kick-start his directorial for ‘Dhoom 3’.
So, who’s gonna be the part of this spellbinding thriller-drama? The long time buzz is that Aditya wants his close pal Shah Rukh to play the lead role. Well, there’s Hrithik Roshan who has a much and equal powerful characterization. Doubtlessly, it would be a recapitulation of ‘Jay Dixit’ for Abhishek Bachchan and Udhay assigned with same role of falling for beautiful girls.
Finally, if these stars say ‘Yes’, then there’s no stopping for this ‘Dhoomania’ in towns.
Wedding bells for Kim Sharma

Bollywood’s hottie Kim Sharma is going to take the marriage vows in February 2010. According to sources, the actress has decided to marry a professional Spanish singer, Carlos Marin. Carlos is said to be a frontline vocalist and part of Il Divo, a popular Spanish band. Kim made headlines with her break-up with cricketer Yuvraj Singh and now this news is something more scorching.
Sources reveal that the actress will shift permanently to Spain to be with her hubby after marriage. For, the sources say, “Carlos has a promising career unlike Kim’s acting career, which has been declining steeply. It’s only practical that she moves to Spain post-marriage for good.” But Kim is keeping mum about the whole issue. However, she is said to be making preparations for the big day and spreading invite through word of mouth to her close buddies. As of now, she is hopping in and out of Mumbai and Madrid, to spend her time with her would-be, who lives there.
Looks like Kim has finally found a stable base.Watch out for the Ringmaster in 'Aladin'!
![]() He may have played a suave businessman in 'Kidnap' or a tough cop in 'Shoot Out At Lokhandawala'. However, Sanjay Dutt's identity has always been connected with being either 'Munnabhai' or 'Khalnayak'. Both being immensely lovable roles, they were chalk and cheese but have contributed in giving an exponential rise to Sanju baba's fan base. What really worked in the favour of these characters? An intrinsic wit that stayed on with audiences for years to stretch. Something similar is expected in case of Sujoy Ghosh directed 'Aladin' as well where Sanjay Dutt's character of 'Ringmaster' brings in a certain wit to it that makes it stand out from the crowd. Yes, he is the villain of the piece in the lives of 'Aladin' [Riteish Deshmukh], 'Genius - The Genie' [Amitabh Bachchan] and Jasmine [Jacqueline Fernandez]. Still, his presence in the narrative not just brings in the scares but also laces it with trademark Sanju baba humour. Says Sujoy for whom it was a surreal moment to be directing Mr. Dutt (as he respectfully calls him), "Roping in Mr. Dutt in the role of Ringmaster worked superbly for us due to two reasons. First and foremost the character is such that it could have been done only by Mr. Dutt. Secondly, our 'Ringmaster' is more of a 'lovable' character than being a quintessential villain. His mannerisms, his body language, the way he talks and the words that he uses, gives him a certain edge. This is why we had to write dialogues that suited both Mr. Dutt and our 'Ringmaster'." As per insiders who have had a dekko at the film, Sanjay Dutt certainly seems to be on a roll playing the role of 'Ringmaster'. Says a source, "With his trademark dialogue delivery, Sanjay Dutt brings in quite a few laughs even though he plays a villain. He has also incorporated a sing-song manner of mouthing a few dialogues that will work especially with children. Some of his antics are bound to become a rage once the film hits the screens." Well, we are certainly waiting with bated breath to see Sanju baba at his best in this one! |
Ranbir paired up with Priyanka

Ashish is the Daddy Coolest!

Ashish Chowdhry may well be busy with his two movies ‘Three’ and ‘Daddy Cool’ which release back to back. But we hear on the personal front, the man who recently became a dad is indeed a cool father. It’s a known fact how doting he is with his nephew and niece, but here’s something more we learn.
Apparently, Ashish does all the possible household and outdoor duties for his son Agasthya. Be it from his laundry, to taking him to parks, changing his diapers or doing the rounds of pre-school, Ashish does it all.
“Yes usually after a new born in the family, it’s the mother who generally has a difficult time. But I guess Sam (Samita) is having a jolly good time, thanks to my enthusiasm with doing everything to do with Agasthya,” laughs Ashish.
Well here’s one guy who has always been a charmer!
Ashish will be seen in a thriller for the first time in Vikram Bhatt produced ‘Three’ releasing on September 3rd.Vikram Bhatt’s pins hope on ‘3-3-3’

If it sounds frizzling for your senses with this headline, we apparently have Vikram Bhatt himself admitting it.
This is all about his forthcoming production ‘Three’ slated to hit screens on September 3. For Vikram Bhatt, ‘3’ is something more than film’s title. Glued to numerological tactics, the auteur will release the film on September ‘3’ (Thursday) at 3 O’clock show.
Speaking about this Vikram Bhatt utters, “So far, I hadn’t laid my hopes on such ideas. But I wanna experiment with these numerological mantras this time.” What if it doesn’t work? Ask him and he jocularly adds, “No issues! I will try my luck with ‘4-4-4’.
Getting on with the unique title, Vikram continues putting his statement, “It derived from the film’s tagline - Into their house, they let in a stranger. Two lived in happiness, now Three live in danger.”
Moreover nothing stops Vikram Bhatt from singing appraisals for his director Vishal Pandya who seems to have done a fantastic job. When it comes to question about this film being a remake of Hollywood ‘The Unlawful Entry’, he denies it adding, “There’s no point in hiding it as audiences will find it out by next week.”
Jr. B to raise his own family

It’s time for the drums to get rolling! The Bachchan Khaandaan is planning for a new start! Well, the news is that Abhishek Bachchan is planning to start a family of his own soon. Psst, maybe next year!
Recently, the Jr. B stated to sources that he is in favour of raising two kids. He said candidly, “I think part of the reason why you want to get married is that you want to settle down and start a family and have kids. I think two should be good. The mantra of ‘Hum Do Hamare Do’ will be my guiding light whenever the time for starting the family sets in.”
But as of now both Abhi and Aish are held up with several projects. And it would take sometime before they settled down with this ‘Ladka hoga ya Ladki’ issue. So we have to wait to see this beautiful couple turning into beautiful parents.

Emraan Hashmi’s recalls the deluge day

They say “Life imitates art.” However, in case of ‘Tum Mile’ it has just been the other way round. The flood scenes in ‘Tum Mile’ have been inspired from real life events which happened to the cast and crew and their acquaintances.
Like the incidence which happened with the director of ‘Tum Mile’, Kunal Deshmukh, his close friend director Mohit Suri and Emraan Hashmi, is now captured in one of the key posters of the film. Kunal reminisces, “Emraan, Mohit and I were shooting for a music video for ‘Kalyug’. The shoot was indoors and we didn’t realize that outside the whole city was flooded. When we came out, we realized the whole city had come to a stand still. None of us had ever seen anything like this before. And Emraan practically climbed up on a car to look around!!”
Says Emraan, “When Kunal showed me this still, it just brought back a lot of memories and feelings about that day. What I saw when I climbed up on the car is still etched in my mind. Mumbai – which never sleeps – had practically stopped!!”
The film, a love story with the backdrop of 26th July’05 floods which brought Mumbai to a standstill, has come out with an image of Emraan standing on top of a car and clearly looking for someone on a crowded street jammed with people and vehicles. Its pouring and one can clearly see the storm ravaging the city in the background. ‘Tum Mile’ stars Emraan Hashmi and Soha Ali Khan and is directed by Kunal Deshmukh. Produced by Sony Music and Vishesh Films, this is the first mega-budget natural disaster flick in Bollywood which is going to hit the screens on Nov 13, 2009.Shilpa going to be Dulhan soon!?!

The news has caught the headlines like a raging fire. Tall-slim beauty Shilpa Shetty is said to be tying the knot soon. The news is out that our diva will get married to the notable businessman Raj Kundra.
Though the news was not confirmed from the actress side, it came through her father. Her father has been approached the passport officials, demanding his and his wife’s passport stating his daughter’s marriage as the reason. The marriage was said to be held in London at the end of this year. Shilpa’s parent’s passports were withheld by the court due to a legal case. And now the actress’s father had gone to get the passports back and had stated about Shilpa’s wedding in the application.
But the latest is that the actress is really annoyed with all these shaadi rumours and stated that she is not getting married this year. In her site, Shilpa has blogged, “No, I am not getting married this year, yes I am looking at next year, but date not decided.” She has also pleaded the media to leave her dad alone – “My poor dad is already having a tough time every time he has to travel abroad and has to apply for his passport, and as always....To top it all to be hounded by journalists when he went to visit the temple made it worse. My dad's 67 and aging, please let the poor man live in peace and dignity, it's annoying.”
Hmm, now when the wedding takes place it surely will be a big-time ceremony! As for her fans, they still have time before they sing – “Churake dil hamara goriya chali!”
Salman’s Towel becomes famous

Farah Khan’s talk show that recently started had Salman Khan and his mother Salma Khan as her first guests. The episode kick started an exciting auction. The product on sale was Salman’s towel! The yellow coloured towel was used by the actor himself in a song ‘Jeene Ke Hain Chaar Din’ from the movie ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’. The song was choreographed by the host of the show, Farah. The sale went on Live on the popular portal eBay India and the bid amount of the towel has touched Rs. 1.42 lacs!
Sallu miya had performed few popular steps from the song with the towel and had said, “I got this since it has memories with Farah.”
Similarly, Priyanka Chopra and Olympic gold medallist Vijendra Singh who were the next guests on the show, have also put up their personal belongings on sale. An evening dress by Priyanka and boxing gloves by Vijendra are on the auction. While others stars like Bipasha Basu and Shilpa Shetty who are going to appear on the show have their own stuffs to put on the bid. The collections will be donated to the NGO, Sneha.Stories of ‘Chintuji’

Rishi Kapoor’s forthcoming movie ‘Chintuji’ is made up with special ingredients. First it will be full-length movie of Rishi Kapoor, after a long time. Second he has attempted to wear a hilarious character who is a hero trying to be a politician. The title itself denotes the pet name of the actor and he plays himself in the movie. Then here is more interesting tittle-tattle on the movie.
Rishi Kapoor has been featured to shake a leg or two with the sizzling hot Sophie Chowdhary in a tribal song. And know what the speciality of the song is? Well, the lyrics of the song are nothing but the names of famous international filmmakers! The song “Akira Kurosawa” includes names like Akira Kurosawa, Alfred Hitchcock, Brian De Palma, Francis Ford Coppolla, Vittorio De Sica, Frank Capra and others. It is composed by Siddhartth Sharma and Suhas Shetty. The composers and the director of the film Ranjit Kapoor are huge fans of these filmmakers. For, this tribal track instead of using gibberish, they decided to kind of pay an ode to the international filmmakers. Thus serving two purposes – one as a tribute to their favourite filmmakers and other is that it turned out to be a funky fun song. Suhas revealed, “The feel is very Latino and has Salsa beats. The words are blended so well to sound like a tribal song that unless you don’t hear it carefully, it would be hard to make out that the lyrics are actually the names of almost 30 filmmakers.” Well, that’s really an innovative idea!
Now the other insider from ‘Chintuji’ is that it has the beautiful Russian actress, who was featured in ‘Mera Naam Joker’ as the trapeze artist. Kseniya Ryabinkina, aged 70, was roped in after a serious search by the team. They had got in touch with Russian Film Commission and used other Russian contacts to find her. It is said that even though she was not keeping well due to old age, the Russian lady readily accepted the offer. According to sources, the producer Bobby Bedi said, “The film Chintuji draws a lot of inspiration from Rishi Kapoor’s real life. There is a mention of Mera Naam Joker in the film. Director Ranjit Singh suggested that we should cast Kseniya who had played a very important role opposite Raj Kapoor in Mera Naam Joker. He thought it would lend authenticity to our film. In Chintuji, she plays someone who changes Rishi’s life.”
Well, with so many efforts taken and with such innovations, hope ‘Chintuji’ brings difference in Rishi Kapoor’s career. The movie is expected to be released on September 4. A date when we have to wish the actor Happy Birthday!Rahul Bose ready for Kollywood
![]() Art film lovers don’t need an introduction for Rahul Bose. He is known for his unforgettable roles in films such as 'Pyar Ke Side Effects', 'Jhankar Beats', 'Mr and Mrs Iyer' and 'Everybody says I am Fine'. Time Asia magazine named him 'the superstar of Indian art house cinema' for his contributions to parallel cinema through films like 'English', 'August' and 'Mr and Mrs Iyer'. This Bollywood actor-cum-social activist was recently in Chennai for the campaign of India's largest design for giving school contest. “If good scripts, directors and film crew are there I am ready to act in any language films, whether is Tamil or Italian,” he says. Saying that he is currently working in four projects, including Aparna Sen's 'Japanese Wife', a thriller, a comedy and a romance, the actor says “films can make sensible people more sensible and that sense of sensibility and compassion will make you a better human being.” “Films have a small impact on society. It can be negative or positive. But the impact is very little,” he adds. |

Aussies must wear out Flintoff, play positive: Warne
Australia need to play aggressive and positive cricket and and wear out Andrew Flintoff in the first session of the final Test if they have to beat England at the Oval and retain the Ashes urn, reckons Shane Warne.
"With the Ashes up for grabs over the next five days, Australia need to play positive cricket from ball .. if we are to retain the famous little urn," Warne wrote in his column in Daily Telegraph.
"Australia must remain aggressive and try to win the Test match. If Ricky Ponting and the boys take in a conservative approach and just try to bat for long periods at The Oval, it could hurt them and they could pay the ultimate price," he wrote.
The legendary leg-spinner also advised the Australians to strategise Flintoff's early fall to improve their chances of winning the series deciding Test match.
9 Delhi cricketers skip camp on Day 2
The camp, being held at Feroze Shah Kotla ground in Delhi, saw just 14 players turning up for conditioning on the second day. Nehra, who had attended the camp on Wednesday, also missed the session along with Gambhir and Ishant.
The DDCA had on Wednesday claimed that the players would join the camp from Thursday. However, the number of absentees went up to nine from the previous eight.
Gambhir, Ishant and Nehra have backed Virender Sehwag over his allegations against the DDCA concerning corruption in selection related issues.
The other players who missed yesterday's camp were Mithun Manhas, Chaitanya Nanda, Aditya Jain and Sunny Sehrawat. The DDCA claimed that these four players missed the camp due to their prior commitments.
Rajat Bhatia, who has been playing county cricket in England, was also absent.
The 23 players list also included Virender Sehwag who could not attend the camp as he has been undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore after recently being operated upon.
Dhoni, Yuvraj lead ICC ODI batsmen ranking
Apart from Dhoni and Yuvraj, Delhi dasher Virender Sehwag, at the seventh spot, is the other Indian to feature in the top 10 batsmen list.
Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar and Gautam Gambhir are at the 14th and 17th spot respectively in the chart.
However, no Indian features among top 10 ODI bowlers with left-arm pacer Zaheer Khan languishing at the 17th spot in the list which is being headed by Sri Lankan Nuwan Kulasekara, followed by Kyle Mills and Daniel Vettori of New Zealand.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan continued to top the ODI all-rounders table, followed by England's Andrew Flintoff in the second spot and Kiwi Jacob Oram at the third position.
India also managed to hold on to their second best ODI team status with 126 rating points.
South Africa tops the table with a point lead over India, while World Champions Australia is lying third with 119 points.
Defending champs India lose Nehru Cup opener to Lebanon
It was a disappointing start for India, who were looking for their second consecutive title after 2007, as they were done in by a fifth minute strike by Lebanon defender Ali Al Saad who drilled in a powerful free kick into Indian goal from near the 'D'circle.
India thus failed to take revenge on their opponents who had won once and drawn another in their last two meetings, in the World Cup qualifiers in 2007.
Playing their first international match since January 14, the home team dominated for most part of the match except for the first 15 minutes in front of a large home crowd who filled more than half of Ambedkar Stadium under floodlights.
Lebanon, who were playing without their four regular national players, got their first opportunity as early as in the fourth minute, from a move initiated by striker Mahmoud El Ali.
El Ali's strike partner Mohammad Ghaddar collected the ball and sent a low cross from the right only to find Ali Hamam's left footer blocked by an Indian defender in front of goal.
Is Sehwag actually injured?
Headlines Today got access to the footages of an advertisement shoot in which Sehwag could be seen quite fit. During the shoot with his Indian team mates in Alappuzha, Kerala Sehwag jumped in water and had fun.
He clearly showed no discomfort from his right shoulder injury which needed surgery in England last month.
Quite remarkably, Sehwag went to Kerala after undergoing treatment at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore for his shoulder.
The treatment, it seems, has worked wonders for the Nawab of Najafgarh as he looks fit and fine in such a short duration.
9 players skip DDCA camp on Day 2
While seven players, including stars like Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir and Ishant Sharma, were among the absentees on the first day, two more players decided to stay away from the camp on Thursday.
Paceman Ashish Nehra and Vartik Tihara, son of DDCA's Sports Committee head Vinod Tihara, were the players who gave a miss to the camp on Thursday.
Others missing from the camp include Rajat Bhatia, Mithun Manhas and Chaitanya Anand.
After Virender Sehwag's outburst against "nepotism and corruption" in the DDCA, some senior players including prolific batsman Gambhir have also threatened to switch allegiance if their grievances were not addressed.
Selection Committee chairman and DDCA Vice President Chetan Chauhan insisted that unrest against the Sports Committee was not the reason for their absence and they were absent because of prior engagements.
"Some players have informed us about their engagements.
But see the positive things. The positive thing is that two people have already joined us. Some others will also join.
They all will join. I don't know why Nehra has not come.
usually he comes a little late," Chauhan told reporters.
Sehwag and Ishant are currently in Kochi for an ad-shoot while Bhatia is in England playing club cricket.
The players' revolt has received support from former players like Madan Lal and Bishan Singh Bedi, who represented Delhi in domestic cricket.
Sehwag, who has threatened to quit the Delhi team for Haryana, is likely to meet DDCA President Arun Jaitley on August 26 or 27 and officials said a resolution would be worked out.
Sehwag has alleged that the selection process in the Delhi team is manipulated by the all-powerful Sports Committee and has received support from other senior players like Gambhir, Ishant and Nehra on the issue.

Akhil competed in the bantam weight (54kg) division in Beijing and shifted to feather weight only this year. The Haryana-boxer is yet to compete in any major international tournament since changing his division and will make his feather weight debut at the World Championships next month.

ODIs here to stay, says ICC at Champions Trophy unveiling
"ODIs have been there for a number of years and Test cricket is alive and well as is shown by the difficulty in getting tickets for the Oval Test (for the series-deciding Ashes contest between England and Australia)", said ICC's general manager, commercial, Campbell Jamieson, here.
"We have just added a new format (T20) and need to find the right balance (in playing the three types). But like in any sport the nation v nation contests bring out the best in players," he said at the unveiling ceremony of the ICC Champions Trophy which starts in South Africa on September 22.
Cricketer Dinesh Karthik, who was scheduled to do the unveiling at the Reliance Centre, could not make it due to "unavoidable circumstances".
Australian spin legend Shane Warne has recently called for the dumping of the 50-over game and advocated it to be replaced totally by T20 games.
Campbell insisted that the enthusiasm for the 50-over event, carrying a total prize fund of USD 4 million with the winnners and runners-up entitled for USD 2 and 1 million respectively, was high in South Africa.
"There is keen interest in South Africa. Already there are talks among fans about who would win the trophy," the ICC official said, adding that every winning team member would be awarded a Champions Trophy winner's jacket at the end of the final on October 5.
"The jacket has been designed by an Indian", Campbell said.
He said the Champions Trophy will see quality cricket being played among all the Test-playing nations barring Bangladesh.
"The tournament provides the platform for all the teams to see how well they perform ahead of the 2011 World Cup (to be hosted in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh)", he declared.
The losing semi finalists would get USD 400,000 each while USD 100,000 is reserved for the teams that finish third in the two groups. The prize money has quadrupled since the 2006 edition.
Matches are to be played at Johannesburg (Wanderers) and Centurion (Centurion Park) and the tournament kicks off with hosts South Africa taking on Sri Lanka under lights at Centurion Park.
The groups:
Group A: Australia, India, Pakistan and West Indies
Group B: South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and England.
